Governor Abbott has issued a statewide mandate in response to COVID-19 that there be no meeting groups of over 10 people. Therefore, we will not be holding any church services or regular weekly activities at our church campus until further notice. We will update you as we go along. However, it’s important for us to remember… First Baptist Church is not just a service. We, as the church, are not a building, but the people of God! In this time of uncertainty, it’s important to know that the church must continue strong, trust in the Lord, and watch for our mighty God to use us in awesome ways!

We will be livestreaming our Sunday morning service each week at 10:45 AM on Facebook live and Vimeo. Stay tuned for more information and links as we work towards making this happen for this weekend and the weeks to come. We also encourage you to gather Sunday morning among friends in homes around our community to join in and worship together.

We’re currently working on different and creative ways to stay connected with everyone during this season of change. We will be informing you as they happen. We are planning on organizing small groups to stay connected as well. Visit our Facebook page at facebook.com/FirstMerkel and our website at fbcmerkel.com for continual updates.

Several people have asked how to continue with their tithes and offerings. Certainly, they can be dropped off or mailed into the church offices. We also now have made a way to give online. It’s an easy and secure process. Simply go to this link where all the information is available fbcmerkel.churchcenter.com/giving

Finally, we know many will be affected in negative ways during this difficult time. If you need assistance in any way, if you can’t get out to get groceries or are in the at-risk groups, please reach out to the church offices at 325-928-5351 and leave a message or email us at lance@fbcmerkel.com and let us work to see what we can do together. We love you… and are praying and expecting God to move this weekend and all the days to come!
